Bicarbonate limitation in wastewater loaded with high concentration of ammonia was confirmed, both with ASM no 3 and experiments in alabscale reactor. Estimation method of active sludge was suggested and comfirmed based on oxygen utilization rate and yield coefficients from the litterature.
