The articles display the variation in the kinds of text which are subject to analysis and discussion within the humanities. Although the texts range from poems, narratives, and personal experience to short stories and artefacts, the common aim is interpretation and understanding. the latter refers to the understanding of the texts in their own historical context as well to the understanding of them in the present discussion, whether it takes place in scholary seminars or in student teaching.
