Most companies use ERP systems to automate and streamline their processes. Making a decision and choosing an ERP system is an important decision for the companies, which emphasises the importance of having a successful implementation process. As many companies go through unsuccessful implementations of ERP systems, there are clear challenges and difficulties with the implementation. This study is a qualitative interview study with the aim of investigating and analysing difficulties/challenges within the implementation process of ERP systems with a focus on the leadership perspective, within a medium-sized logistics company. Through semi-structured interviews with leaders and those responsible for the implementation, both increased knowledge of both challenges and success factors from a leadership perspective has been obtained. Through the collected data from the semi-structured interviews and a thematic analysis, a number of challenges/difficulties were identified which are in line with previous research on critical success factors, including training, management support, commitment and communication. But some critial success factors where of more weight than others. 

De flesta företagen använder sig av ERP-system för att automatisera och effektivisera sina processer. Att ta ett beslut och välja ERP-system är ett viktigt beslut för företagen, vilket betonar vikten av att ha en lyckad implementeringsprocess. Då många företag går igenom misslyckade implementeringarav ERP-system finns det tydliga utmaningar och svårigheter med implementationen. Denna studie är en kvalitativ intervjustudie med syfte att beskriva svårigheter och utmaningar inom implementeringsprocessen av ERP-system med fokus på ledarskapsperspektivet, inom ett medelstort logistikbolag. Genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med projektledare och ansvariga för implementationen har både ökad kunskap om både utmaningar och framgångsfaktorer utifrån ett ledarskapsperspektiv erhållits. Genom den insamlade datan från de semistrukturerade intervjuerna och en tematisk analys identifierades ett flertal utmaningar/svårigheter. Dessa är i linje med tidigare forskning kring kritiska framgångsfaktorer blandannat inom upplärning, ledningsstöd, engagemang och kommunikation. Dock så var vissa kritiska punkter av större vikt.
