This paper discusses if and how an Internet-based school-home contact could contribute to providing the parents with information concerning their children;s schooling, and to simplify and deepen the contacts between the school and the homes. The focus in the paper is on the parents and the pupils and their attitude to this type of digital school-home contact. The study shows a very positive attitude exists regarding the use of the Internet as a communication channel between the home and the school. This is especially marked among divorced parents who don not live together with their parents. For the pupils it seems the computer and the Internet have become a natural part of their everyday lives. For tehm the question is why not use information technology (IT) when it is quicker and simpler for everyone, instead of the traditional communication channels?
