Titel [sv]
Effektiva modeller för teknikstött lärande och utveckling i olika utbildningssammanhang
Titel [en]
Effective models of technology-enhanced learning and development in different educational contexts
Abstract [sv]
The purpose of the visit is to prepare for a joint research agenda between South China Normal Univerisity, Umeå University and Mid Sweden University. From a research perspective the impact of educational technology, digital technologies and ICT in educational activities is still unclear. There is a critique whether or not educational technology, digital technologies and ICT in schools have reached its potential. Results reported in relation to up-take and uses of educational technology, digital technologies and ICT in schools do not extensively enough point to success. Student outcomes are not straightforward no matter if the focus is on a general, specific subject or context level. There seem also to be a lack of research that demonstrates that the up-take and use of educational technologies and ICT in school practices changes the school organization. These issues need further studies, preferably from a comparative stance. Therefore it would be extremely important to have Dr Jianli Jiao as a visiting researcher for a shorter period, about 8 weeks, during the beginning of 2012. He is today working as Professor of Educational Technology and vice dean at the School of Information Technology in Education at South China Normal University. He is also the leader of the Future Education Research Center at SCNU. His visit provides opportunities for future partnerships and research application within the field of educational technology in education.
