    Abstract [en]

    Information security incident management is important for organizations and its importance is increasing. Information security incidents are increasing both in number and in scope and in 2018 GDPR and the NIS-directive require organizations to report incidents to a supervision authority. This study highlights IT-consulting companies and their vulnerable position as subcontractors. The study aims to address the lack of empirical research in incident management and to inform future theory development. The goal of the study is to answer the research questions (1) what challenges do IT-consultancy companies experience with their incident management? (2) What challenges are specifically related to the GDPR and the NIS-directive? And (3) what challenges are specific for consulting companies? Challenges with the incident management are identified and clarified by qualitative interviews with experts and a survey. The analysis of the results shows that some of the challenges are consistent with previous studies, while some are new and that the survey partly support the experts' opinions. The conclusion of the study is that the majority of the companies’ improvement opportunities are linked to internal and external communication, cost focus, absence of a major incident, awareness, GDPR, the role of consulting company and internationally recognized difficult activities. The research contribution of the study consists of identified challenges in the field of incident management derived from IT-consultancy companies. The result of the study are recommended to IT-consultancy companies that would like to improve their incident management process by gaining an understanding of incident management issues.

    Abstract [en]

    The purpose of this thesis work was to conduct a general research on existing security techniques and come up with a considerable algorithm for data security in cloud storage. Cloud storage is an infrastructure or is a model of computer data storage in which the digital data is stored in logical pools. It unifies object storage for both developers and enterprises, from live applications data to cloud archival. It help to save valuable space on PC computers or mobile devices and provides the easy storage and access of data anywhere in the world. However, just as the benefits of cloud computing abounds, so also are the risks involved. If data are not well secured or encrypted before deployment for storage in the cloud, in case of negligence on the side of the developers, then hackers can gain unauthorized access to the data. The behavior of existing security algorithms on data were studied, the encryption and decryption process of the each algorithm on data was studied and also their weaknesses against attacks. Apart from data encryption, security policies also plays an important roll in cloud storage which was also covered in this report. The research work was conducted through the use of online publications, literature review, books, academic publications and reputable research materials. The study showed that regardless of the challenges in cloud storage, there is still a suitable algorithm for protecting data against attack in the cloud.

    Från myndighet till medborgare och tillbaka: En studie av samverkan och kommunikation inomramen för STYREL2018Report (Other (popular science, discussion, etc.))
    Abstract [en]

    STYREL is a planning process aiming at ensuring electricity supply to sociallyimportant objects during a situation of power shortage. The fact that STYREL is animportant planning process with great importance for securing the electricitysupply to important users of electricity is an opinion all the interviewees express.At the same time, there is also a consensus that the process is in need ofdevelopment and change in order to achieve the aims behind the process.The empirical study included documents, investigations, 65 interviews,participatory observation and participation in meetings and network meetingswithin the framework of the planning process. The critical review shows that thereare several areas of improvement to consider that could increase the quality andreduce the risk of important social functions becoming without electricity during aperiod of power shortage. The areas that are particularly highlighted in the studyconcern the necessity of integrating recurring feedback into the planning system,creating networks at both local and regional level to ensure that private-sector orimportant civil society actors is excluded and finally, further clarify the varioussteps and the different roles in the planning system. This can be achievedcomparing with international planning systems on critical infrastructure and withnational planning systems within the crisis management systems.

    Multi-Level Planning Systems for Critical Infrastructure Protection:: Planning for Power Shortage in Germany, Sweden and USA2018Conference paper (Other academic)
    Abstract [en]

    Electricity is a key resource for the majority of societal functions and constitutes an important sector in the critical infrastructure of modern societies. Disturbances in power supply can have cascading effects on interdependent public sectors and ordinary citizens (Rinaldi et al., 2001; Cohen, 2010; Ghanem et al., 2016). However, it seems nearly impossible to prevent the occurrence of power shortages. This has been evident in the aftermath of the hurricane Lee and the hurricane Maria in 2017. Because of the changing climate, an increase of hurricanes, flooding, and high river flows, are expected. The need of a national energy policy have been addressed (see e.g. Hoffman, 2015), including policy for manual power cut in the case of power shortage. The Swedish Energy Agency has developed a national policy for handling national power shortage. The policy, called STYREL is part of Swedish Crisis Management System. This paper focus on the Swedish power shortage policy, STYREL in relation to national policies in Germany and the USA. The aim is to compare the three countries policies in the event of power shortage. The focus is on the organization of the planning process, which actors are part of the process, and how the societal important users are identified and ranked. Policy networks, including actors from both public and private sector are of special interest.

    Abstract [en]

    Web applications are a form of computer software running in the browser. They have many advantages, one of them is that they do not need to be installed on each computer. However, they also impose a higher security requirement, as communication is via the Internet. The project on which the report is based on aims to develop a web application for vacation management for employees at the company CGI in Sundsvall. Previously the employees used an Excel docu- ment to handle vacation applications. In the beginning of the work a require- ment specification was designed, some features requested where that the web application should be synchronized with their existing account systems, consi- dering of current laws in PUL and GDPR, categorization of vacations, and abili- ty to generate reports. In addition to the development, the safety of the techno- logies and tools chosen is evaluated. The work process began by investigating and selecting which tools would be used. Thereafter, the application developed according to agile principles. The evaluation was performed by comparing the features of the web application with those in the requirements specification, and evaluating the security of the application through investigating information about the security of the tools gathered through relevant literature. The hope was to compile an overall picture of how the web application corresponds to the requirements and how secure it is. In addition, there has been an ethical review based on the data stored and the consequences that an attack would have. After the evaluation, it was found that web application in principle fulfilled all requi- rements, but that certain security aspects could be improved.

    Projektet avser att implementera spelifieringselement på den ideella bloggen

    400contacts, en blogg som coachar och tipsar om jobbsökning i Sverige för

    nyanlända. Detta ska uppnås genom att använda sig av modeller av Yu-kai

    Chou, en framstående person inom området om spelifiering. Målet var till en

    början att öka antalet återkommande besökare till 50% av alla besökare men

    ändrades senare i projektet till att konvertera besökare till att ansluta sig till

    företagets facebookgrupp. För att lyckas uppnå detta har en ny design till

    bloggen tagits fram och under arbetets gång har ett poängsystem tagits fram

    som styr belöningar i form av märken på användarnas profiler. Dessa poäng

    ställer även användarna i en topplista. Poäng och märken förtjänas genom att

    vara delaktig på sidan, exempelvis genom att logga in eller att läsa ett nytt

    blogginlägg. Webbplatsen är byggd i WordPress och förlitar sig kraftigt på de

    tillgängliga tillägg som plattformen erbjuder. Arbetet har inte stött på större

    problem och har lyckats uppnå båda mål i sitt slutresultat.

    Abstract [en]

    The study aims at identifying the impacts accruing from the implementation of an ERP-system on a large production company that previously managed information in several unintegrated systems. This is investigated from the perspectives and frameworks of Lean Administration, information security and information- and data quality. The study has been conducted at SCA Östrands marketing department, SCA is currently investing 7,8 billion Swedish kronor in the Östrand pulp mill and will be leading the world market. SCA aims to produce 1 million tons of pulp per year with the new mill. As production increases, more data and information will be handled, and support processes must be improved and developed. Process flows were mapped with the process mapping method BPMN and analyzed at a current state and a future state. In the current state, several unintegrated systems are used, in the future, many parts have been integrated and automated. Three main processes were identified and analyzed according to the earlier mentioned frameworks. The analysis shows that the information security is improved according to the CIA-triad, Information- and data quality is improved, and the working method is Leaner after the implementation. In order to calculate efficiency, Data Envelopment Analysis, DEA method has been used with the CCR and ARI models. The results of DEA-CCR and DEA-ARI shows that process flow of the current state is between 48,3% and 57,1% effective compared to the future state, which is 100% effective in the models.

    Detecting Sitting People: Image classification on a small device to detect sitting people in real-time video2017Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

    The area of computer vision has been making big improvements in the latest decades, equally so has the area of electronics and small computers improved. These areas together have made it more available to build small, standalone systems for object detection in live video. This project's main objective is to examine whether a small device, e.g. Raspberry Pi 3, can manage an implementation of an object detection algorithm, called Viola-Jones, to count the occupancy of sitting people in a room with a camera. This study is done by creating an application with the library OpenCV, together with the language C+ +, and then test if the application can run on the small device. Whether or not the application will detect people depends on the models used, therefore three are tested: Haar Face, Haar Upper body and Haar Upper body MCS. The library's object detection function takes some parameters that works like settings for the detection algorithm. With that, the parameters needs to be tailored for each model and use case, for an optimal performance. A function was created to find the accuracy of different parameters by brute-force. The test showed that the Haar Face model was the most accurate. All the models, with their most optimal parameters, are then speed-tested with a FPS test on the raspberry pi. The result shows whether or not the raspberry pi can manage the application with the models. All models could be run and the Haar face model was fastest. As the system uses cameras, some ethical aspects are discussed about what people might think of top-corner cameras.

    Denna rapport behandlar projektarbetet som utförts för att skapa en interaktiv

    kart-applikation hos företaget eMaintenance365. De är ett uppstartsföretag som arbetar med att hjälpa kunder inom främst tåg- och järnvägsindustrin med att förbättra sitt underhållsarbete. De erbjuder analyser av mätdata genom sin egenutvecklade molnbaserade webbapplikation E365 Analytics® och avancerade algoritmer som kan förutspå kommande underhållsbehov. Inom applikationen fanns behov av en interaktiv karta där kunderna kan se status på olika mätstationer, tågrälssträckor och så vidare. Syftet med projektet har varit att få fram en applikation som är robust, dynamisk, välstrukturerad och konstruerad med skalbarhet, vidareutveckling och underhåll i åtanke. Projektet kan i framtiden leda till stora besparingar gällande både tid och pengar. Applikationen har programmerats i JavaScript med tredjepartsbiblioteket OpenLayers 4 för interaktiva kartor som grund. För att få en robust applikation som underlättar framtida vidareutveckling, underhåll med mera så har ett vedertaget designmönster använts som ger en mer modulär struktur på koden. Konstruktionskapitlet beskriver bland annat vilka dessa modulär är och den funktion de har samt övrig funktionalitet som skapats i applikationen. Projektet har resulterat i en applikation som har en hel del dynamisk funktionalitet och når upp till de mål som satts upp vid projektstart. Det finns mycket utrymme för vidareutveckling och optimering av applikationen som på grund av vissa begränsningar och tidsbrist ej kommit med i projektet.

    Abstract [en]

    Mid Sweden University staff has several different meetings around the year. Most meetings take place in Mid Sweden University's various campuses (Sundsvall and Östersund). In order for the staff to be able to participate in these meetings, rental-cars are rented from different rental companies. The rental cars are used to transport the staff between the university's campuses. The trips are mostly made by one or two people per car which can lead to unneces- sary extra costs. The goal of this project has been to provide a solution to this problem. The solution was in the form of a web application which the staff can use to register and join carpool trips. Since there are many carpool applications out there, the usability of the web application will be compared to the usability of a similar carpool application called GoMore to show if the developed appli- cation has any advantages in usability over similar applications. This was done by doing user-tests with 10 users followed by a questionnaire for each applica- tion. The usability metrics that were evaluated and compared for both applica- tions were the following: effectiveness, time based efficiency and the satisfac- tion of the user. The results showed a slightly better result in effectiveness and time based efficiency for the developed application. The results also showed a greater satisfaction for users who tested GoMore. Although the developed web application did not show a significant difference in usability over GoMore, the developed application is more specific for the university's problem and can be developed even further to suit the university's needs.

    Detta projektarbete handlar om processen att skapa en databas i Microsoft Access 2010 för ett team inom Nordea vid namn Client Software. Client Software hanterar applikationspaketeringen som alla slutanvändare tar del av på Nordea. Databasen syfte är att kunna migrera från en databas som kommer att läggas ner inom en snar framtid. Databasen ska vara ge Client Software ett sätt för att överskådligt kunna se den viktigaste information om en applikation och kunna ta fram rapporter från databasen. Client Software har specifika mål som denna databas ska uppfylla, den ska kunna följa en applikations genom dess livscykel och olika faser. Databasen har byggts med ett användargränssnitt som är enkelt att förstå samt lätthanterligt men samtidigt skulle den innehålla all viktiga fält som Client Software hade efterfrågat. Resultatet för projektarbetet visade att Client Software var nöjd över databasen och dess användargränssnitt samt att den hade all funktionalitet som efterfrågades, de kan nu följa en applikations livscykel från början till slut på ett övergripligt sätt och framställa rapporter med all vital information. Genom att databasen byggdes med redan befintliga avtal och digital infrastruktur inom Nordea blev den ett kostnadseffektivt sätt att få en ny databas. Nordea har en stor kompetens inom utveckling i Microsofts produkter och genom detta kan de fortsätta utveckla databasen och göra ändringar utan extern hjälp.

    Abstract [en]

    Evaluation of perceived quality of light field images,as well as testing new processing tools, or even assessing the effectiveness of objective quality metrics, relies on the availabilityof test dataset and corresponding quality ratings. This article presents SMART light field image quality dataset. The dataset consists of source images (raw data without optical corrections), compressed images, and annotated subjective quality scores. Furthermore, analysis of perceptual effects of compression on SMART dataset is presented. Next, the impact of image content on the perceived quality is studied with the help of image quality attributes. Finally, the performances of 2D image quality metrics when applied to light field images are analyzed.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of this thesis is to examine if information culture is a theoretical construct that can assist in creating a proactive recordkeeping environment. It also aims to investigate if information culture can be of help to an organization that goes through changes that affect its recordkeeping practices. The study uses Gillian Oliver and Fiorella Foscarini’s definition of information culture, which they define as ”values accorded to information, and attitudes towards it, specifically within organisational contexts.”

    The preparations for the GDPR (EU) 2016/67 at two Swedish universities functions as the case that the author uses to explore these questions. Using a qualitative method, interviewing five people, the author examined the interviewees’ values towards information and how the organizations had prepared for the GDPR.

    The study suggests that there is need for cooperation between archivists and people from other professions, such as IT and law, when preparing for complex recordkeeping issues such as the GDPR. However, the study shows that an archivist is not always involved in an organization’s change management effort.

     The study shows that there is a difference between adopting an information culture perspective when managing change and using information culture as Oliver and Foscarini intend it be used. Their approach addresses organizations and structures that are already established. The problem areas that Oliver and Foscarini think an archivist should avoid focusing its change management efforts on, because they are hard to change, are shown to be as important to work with as other problem areas when managing change in an organization. Just because a level of the information culture framework that Oliver and Foscarini have developed is difficult to affect in an organization does not mean that it is hard to incorporate into a change management effort.

    In contrast to other change management theories, an information culture perspective highlights aspects that are directly connected to the role of the archivist. Instead of generic advice, such as “cooperation”, information culture specifically advices the archivist to “cooperate with the IT department”. Information culture is a theoretical construct that embraces other established theories. From a recordkeeping perspective, an information culture approach is therefore paradoxically both broad and exact at the same time.

    Abstract [en]

    Previous research shows that 50-­70% of all changes made in organizations fails. Many factors play role in creating successful and lasting changes, but leadership is a key factor. The purpose of this study is to examine leader’s conditions in terms of commitment and organizational culture, to make successful and lasting changes. Previous research about successful and failed organizational changes have been studied. A survey and additional interviews have been made to investigate leader’s conditions in the current and future situation. The study has shown that leaders can create commitment by e.g. continuously inform the co-­workers about the change, visualize progress and have a reward system connected to the change. The conclusions are that that the chosen organization have relatively good conditions in terms of commitment and culture, but there is room for some improvements (for example teach leaders about commitment and change management). Another conclusion is that a model for change is not a guarantee for successful and sustainable changes. To make changes successful there’s got to be commitment and the organization got to anchor the changes into the culture.

    Abstract [en]

    The objective of the project was to examine the possibility to use machine lear- ning without prior knowledge of machine learning or of mathematics and if that is possible also explore the possibility to use machine learning to interpret a picture of a piece of sheet music. The capacity of detecting notes from images of sheet music in the produced model was then compared to an existing pro- gram called Audiveris. The result became a model later used in a comparison with the program Audiveris. The comparison resulted in Audiveris finding al- most 100% of the notes but the new model only being able to detect about a third. The reasons for the big difference were probably: first that Audiveris has been in development for many years and secondly that the training data used for the new model wasn’t enough varied and complicated. To further increase the ability of the new model ́s skill the main point would be the need for more trai- ning data at the training of the model. Even then you need to supply a variation in the data ́s content and its degree of difficulty which is more varied then the first training data.

    Abstract [en]

    The Church of Sweden in Norrköping are currently faced with a virtual intranet that they feel could be improved. Some of the problems they have identified are unusual traffic forwardin patterns, exhaustion of the IP adress pool and a high level of complexity. In addition, they feel that it might be time to increase the bandwidth that some of the buildings have access to. My goal with this paper – based on the largest parishes and Kyrkan Hus, where the organization’s IT office and server farm lies – is to give recommendations in terms of actions and changes that could mitigate these issues and hopefully provide a more future proof solution. During my work I have taken some rudimentary baseline readings, IP addressing tables and compilations of network flows, in order to create a current situation analysis, which I have used to draw some of my conclusions. I have also aimed to illustrate the problems that have formed the foundation for this work. In my report I have also discussed some modern IT trends, such as thin clients, virtual environments and BYOD, Bring Your Own Device. This assignment has resulted in a general design proposal with redundant links, guest networks and Ipv6 support, with different alternatives withing each aspect, which can be used to further tailor the implementations of the different technologies. For a more all encompassing, thorough design of the intranet as a whole we’d need a more complete documentation, together with approximations and evaluations regarding network usage, IP addressing and budget.

    The project has been developed at the IT consultancy Sogeti, they have devel- oped a feedback system called KUPPs for SCA which will give feedback to their forestry operators. SCA is interested in implementing gamification to KUPPs. The goal of this project has been to develop a gamification design that can increase motivation and engagement for the forestry operators for increased delivery quality. Increased delivery quality means that SCA will not lose money on logs that can't be delivered to the customer. To facilitate the work the gamifi- cation design has been developed with the help of a proof-of-concept gamifica- tion framework. A comparison between two frameworks was performed and from discussion points the framework Ocatalysis was chosen. With the frame- work a gamification design was developed which focus on the user to cooperate on for a common goal. In research it has proven that working together for a common goal can increase productivity, because of that this gamification design strife for cooperation. The gamification design was developed with mockups to demonstrate a solution and from that a prototype in the form of a website with a database was created. User test was performed on the mockup-design, where the user was asked question about the design and how they experienced it could increase delivery quality. They experienced that the gamification design could increase delivery quality, but only if the user was motivated to use the system. The gamification design can increase the delivery quality, but more user tests needs to be done and in the right user environment to see if it is possible. The gamification framework that was used was a great help med developing the gamification design. For future work the design should be iterated more for in- creased user experience and over all design. Also more user test needs to be done on the right user group and environment.

    I dagens webb används ofta många olika innehållshanteringssystem för att göra

    det enkelt för användare att hantera deras egna hemsidor. I utvecklingsarbetet

    hos webbyråer bedrivs även någon typ av projektledning. Syftet med denna

    undersökning är att utvärdera och analysera ett företags befintliga CMS och

    deras arbetsprocess. Denna utvärderingen kommer göras utifrån ett visst antal

    kriterier som är kännetecken för olika projektledningsmetoder samt en separat

    utvärdering för ett passande CMS utifrån specifikationer och intervjuer. Här

    kommer faktorer som licens, funktionalitet, plattformsstöd, vidareutveckling,

    popularitet samt exempelvis programmeringsspråk. Denna undersökning visade

    på att företaget arbetar med ett agilt arbetssätt, samt att deras befintliga CMsystem

    är det optimala för deras verksamhet för att de ska upprätthålla sina

    möjligheter att helt skräddarsy lösningar och ha full kontroll på produkten.

    This report will describe the process work that has been done for the course DT140G fnal project. The project is about an on-line learning plat- form called “Learn Web Code”, this on-line learning platform ofers pro- gramming courses where the user/student can learn diferent technologies related to web development. The user/student can buy the courses using a subscription plan (monthly or Yearly) and cancel/resume at any time. This report will explain how this web application has been created from the start describing the design phase until the end, when the application is deployed for production on-line. Chapter 1 will give an introduction to the project explaining background problems and desired goals of this application. Chapter 2 focuses on the theory where is explained more detailed concepts of the framework used for this project: Laravel. Chapter 3 explain the methodology used to build this application, how the development environ- ments was created and the tools used for it. Chapter 4 focuses on the de- sign/implementation part of the whole application where it’s explained how everything has been created from start to fnish. Chapter 5 highlights the results: basically all the results from the problems formulated in Chapter 1. Chapter 6 Conclusions gives a personal approach about the whole application.

    Abstract [en]

    In this master's thesis, focus has been on long-term conservation of documents and objects in associations archives. The purpose was to identify different constraints concerning economics, premises, staff shortages, knowledge and how to work on them. As we are in a time characterized by technology and digitization, it has been important to lift the authentic and primary media. The study consisted of nine qualitative survey interviews. The result of the study was that all archives in some way violate these limitations, which can also lead to the fact that documents, collections and cultural heritage in the long run can be a problem.

    Abstract [en]

    We present the architecture of an 802.15.4 receiver that, for the first time, operates at a few hundred microwatts, enabling new battery-free applications. To reach the required micro-power consumption, the architecture diverges from that of commodity receivers in two important ways. First, it offloads the power-hungry local oscillator to an external device, much like backscatter transmitters do. Second, we avoid the energy cost of demodulating a phase-modulated signal by treating 802.15.4 as a frequency-modulated one, which allows us to receive with a simple passive detector and an energy-efficient thresholding circuit. We describe a prototype that can receive 802.15.4 frames with a power consumption of 361 μW. Our receiver prototype achieves sufficient communication range to integrate with deployed wireless sensor networks (WSNs).We illustrate this integration by pairing the prototype with an 802.15.4 backscatter transmitter and integrating it with unmodified 802.15.4 sensor nodes running the TSCH and Glossy protocols.

    The sensing capabilities of most sensor networks are fixed at the time of deployment. Adding new sensing capabilities to such networks is a costly and cumbersome process. We present Passive Sensor Tags, battery-free sensing devices that could be used to extend the sensing capabilities of an existing network. Sensor tags feature our new 802.15.4 receiver design which is suitable for micro-power operation, making battery-free tags possible. Because our tags can both transmit and receive 802.15.4 frames there is no need for any modification to the deployed hardware. We present preliminary measurements of transmission and reception range.

    Abstract [en]

    Sensors are widely used in all aspects of our daily life including factories, hospitals and even our homes. Discovering time series association rules from sensor data can reveal the potential relationship between different sensors which can be used in many applications. However, the time series association rule mining algorithms usually produce rules much more than expected. It’s hardly to under-stand, present or make use of the rules. So we need to prune and summarize the huge amount of rules. In this paper, a two-step pruning method is proposed to reduce both the number and redundancy in the large set of time series rules. Be-sides, we put forward the BIGBAR summarizing method to summarize the rules and present the results intuitively.

    In this paper we present an overview of the variousproximity based authentication mechanisms that can be usedin the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). We seek to identifyand highlight from a holistic point of view which mechanismscan enable proximity based authentication for the IndustrialInternet of Things. In addition, we identify which upcomingproximity authentication mechanisms are most important for theproliferation of the Industrial Internet of Things, and highlightmajor obstacles that remain unsolved with regard to authen-tication. In answering this, we present seven mechanisms forproximity based authentication (i.e. wire, radio, acoustics, light,image, gesture and biometrics) and discuss each mechanism inperspective of their vulnerability to different kind of attacks (suchas eavesdropping, impersonation and denial of service attacksetc.) and their usability (such as proximity range, hardwarerequirement and ease of use) in terms of the practicality in IIoTenvironment in the light of which we present two typical IIoTuse cases that require proximity based authentication.

    Abstract [en]

    The aim of this project has been to investigate whether and how a municipal operations can be equipped with an automated IT system to accommodate some of the new legal requirements that entered into force 2018-05-25 when the EU General Data Protection Regulation GDPR [1] replaced the Swedish Personal Data Act PUL [2]. The organization faces a major challenge as the introduction of GDPR offers Citizens have greater right to control how their personal data handled by different authorities. This in turn will lead to a more stable protection of the individual's personal data. Furthermore, the GDPR imposes fines that can be extremely expensive for the businesses or companies that violate its regulations and usually process personal data. The method of this project is based on semi-structured interviews, study of available documentation and the ability to review existing systems in place. Furthermore, collected data from this empirical study will be discussed and analyzed in the title title. The business's current follow-up of PUL works well, however, this handshake is manually handled on a personal basis by employees, ie there are no centralized IT systems that allow for a follow-up, application of the law and a logging of processed personal data. However, there are a few systems that individually have a good level of security for the protection of personal data. At present, the organization is preparing for the introduction of GDPR through a project work. The work includes clarification of roles, responsibilities, staff training and mapping of IT systems that meet GDPR:s set legal requirements. The project also resulted in the creation of a prototype for a software that contains the following features: Search, Delete, Encrypt and Email (SRKE) files containing personal data, according to the client's set requirements. The prototype has been tested by various employees in the management with very good results, however, there is some room for extended features or improvements, some of which are listed in the Future Work section.

    In this report, a number of different Javascript-frameworks have been compared. The study is conducted at CSN (Centrala studiestödsnämnden). The study consists of two main parts, an evalua- tion through the literature study and an evaluation of the implementa- tion. The first part of the survey has Javascript-frameworks Angular2, Aurelia, Ember, Meteor and React comparisons. Together with CSN, a few criteria have been developed which will then be awarded points between one and five depending on how well a Javascript-framework meets a specific criterion. Five points are given when the Javascript- framework meets the entire criterion, one point is given when it partial- ly meets the criterion. After the first part of the investigation, Angular2 and Aurelia found that they would move on to the implementation phase. The implementation consists of a couple of windows from the existing service "Mina tjänster". In the evaluate implementation measures time for implementation, web browsing time, and number of code rows. From this it was found that Aurelia has less number of code rows than Angular 2. The reading time for Angular 2 is three times longer than Aurelia. In the evaluation of how difficult it is to implement the two frameworks, Angular 2 is considered to be "Average" and Aurelia to "Hard". The Javascript-framework recommended for CSN is Angular 2. This is because much more documentation about Angular 2 is available, and the difficulty is lower for Angular 2. The startup of a project is also much easier in Angular 2, which means that it requires less time to get into the framework.

    Detta projekt handlar om att skapa en ny hemsida till Åhus Beach. Huvudmålen är att den ska vara fullt responsiv och fullt ut dynamisk. För att göra hemsidan dynamisk har vi använt oss av wordpress som CMS-verktyg. För att kunna utnyttja wordpress till dess fulla potential har vi använt oss av ett plugin som heter Advanced Custom Fields Pro. Nästan allting på hemsidan så som texter, bilder, färger, knappar och även sidor är möjliga att ändra på via wordpress. Miljön som använts är en wordpress boilerplate som kallas Bedrock tillsammans med ett starttema som kallas Sage och allting har kodats i Visual Studio Code. Med allt detta tillsammans har vi utvecklat en fullständig ny och fräsch hemsida till Åhus Beach. Slutresultatet är en sida som innehåller sidor för tre olika evenemang, deras undersidor med menyer. Sidan innehåller nyheter, erbjudanden, information om eventen, kartor, kontaktinformation, sökfunktion och videos.

    Abstract [en]

    The new concept of Industry 4.0 has been developed: it includes both Internet of Things (IoT) structure and the local networks that are still needed to carry out real-time tasks. However, forecasts of mass application of consumer IoT system have stimulated the development of new wireless technologies that may also be interesting for industry. In this paper, the LoRa technology is investigated for the implementation of industrial wireless networks suitable for sensors and actuators of the Industry 4.0 era. After a brief overview of LoRa and LoRaWAN, the paper deals with the discussion about using LoRa for industrial applications compared to traditional industrial wireless systems. With only very light modifications to the upper layer of LoRaWAN communication stack, a time slot channel hopping schema is possible. The experimental results show the feasibility of the proposed approach, which is compatible with requirements of soft real-time applications in process industry. In particular, proper time, frequency, and spreading factor planning may allow 6000 nodes accessed up to one minute cycle time.

    Målet med detta projekt har varit att delta i ett dagligt arbete på tidningen Norra Västerbotten. Mer ingående skulle frågor om arbetsprocessen för webbutvecklarna besvaras, hur nya uppgifter inkommer, hur projekt implementeras och vad som händer med produkter efter implementeringen. Dessa frågor besvarades med hjälp av praktiskt arbete jämsides med webbutvecklarna på företaget men även genom att ställa frågor och föra samtal med nyckelpersoner. De studier som och det praktiska arbetet som genomfördes har gett en bild över hur arbetsprocessen på Norra Västerbotten vanligtvis ser ut, det har framkommit vilka metoder som ligger som grund för arbetet på tidningen men även vilka versionshanteringssystem och lagringstjänster de använder sig utav. En ingående konstruktionsrapportering finns med där mycket fokus ligger på ett av de större projekten som arbetats med under praktik perioden. Rapporten avslutas med en diskussion om hur projektet har fortskridit, vad som var svårare och lättare, vad författaren lärt sig och vad hon vill fortsätta använda och skaffa mer kunskap inom.

    In recent years, integration of wireless sensornetworks in industrial environments has greatly increased. With this trend, new fields such as industrial IoT have arisen, which in turn have opened the doors to new possibilities that are shaping the future of industrial automation. In contrast to regular wireless networks, however, industrial applications of WSN are characterized for being time-critical systems with highly stringent requirements that challenge all available technologies. Because of its ultra-low energy properties, compatibility with most mobile units, reduced production costs, robustness and hight hroughput, Bluetooth low energy (BLE) is a potential candidate for these settings. This article explores thepotential of BLE of meeting the real-time demands foundin the domain of industrial process automation and industrial IoT. In order to evaluate the suitability of the protocol for these scenarios, the effect of adaptations in the retransmission scheme on the reliability and timeliness performance are thoroughly studied. Three retransmission schemes are evaluated and simulation results proved that by optimally modifying the BLE retransmission model, a maximum delay below 46 ms and a packet loss rate in the order of 105 can be obtained, enabling BLE to fulfill the requirements of even the most demanding cases within the considered range of applications.

    Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka attityder och möjligheter till representation av marginaliserade grupper i arkiven. Våra arkiv förvaltar vårt gemensamma kulturarv och anses utgöra vårt kollektiva minne. Problemet är dock att många grupper inte finns representerade i arkiven då materialet i arkiven bygger på normer och värderingar om vems historia som ansetts viktig att bevara samt vem som har haft makten att sätta avtryck. Marginaliserade grupper som befinner sig utanför normen och som saknar makt hamnar således utanför arkiven.

    De teoretiska perspektiven som uppsatsen grundar sig i är postmodern arkivteori och normkritik. Detta baserat på att det är normer som styr representationen i arkiven och att de grupper som syns och tar plats i arkiven är de grupper med makt. Postmodern arkivteori hävdar att arkivarien besitter en maktposition där hen kan exkludera eller inkludera vissa grupper men för att förhindra detta måste arkivarien acceptera sin egen roll och påverkan i skapandet av det kollektiva minnet.

    Jag har intervjuat sex arkivarier vid sex arkivinstitutioner. Målet med intervjuerna var att undersöka deras attityder kring representation, hur de eventuellt arbetar med representation i sina arkiv samt vilka möjligheter de har att faktiskt påverka representationen i arkiven. Jag har också studerat arkivlagen, rapporter och arkivutredningar med målet att undersöka huruvida de tar upp representation och inkludering samt vilka möjligheter som ges arkivinstitutioner att aktivt arbeta med inkludering och en bredare representation.

    Min slutsats är att det verkar finnas en medvetenhet och en vilja hos arkivarierna att förändra ojämlikheten i arkiven. Samtidigt känner de sig begränsade av styrningen och lagstiftningen. Jag föreslår därför att åtgärder behöver ske både på arkivnivå men också på en beslutfattande nivå för att arkiven aktivt ska kunna arbeta för en bredare representation. Arkiven bör själva göra en intersektionell analys av sitt arkivmaterial för att skapa en medvetenhet om ojämlikheten och ur en sådan analys arbeta vidare för ett mer normkritiskt arbete med normkritiska processer.

    På en beslutfattande nivå vore det av värde om de enskilda arkiven kunde få en mer erkänd position som en viktig del av kulturarvet, en mer reglerad finansiering till de enskilda arkiven samt att det ska ingå i de offentliga arkivens uppdrag att också sköta och värna om de enskilda arkiven. Det vore även av värde att de offentliga arkiven hade större möjlighet att arbeta med aktivt insamlande för att fylla de arkivluckor som finns i de enskilda arkiven.

    This study on challenges in the implementation process of digital archives shows that digitalisation is complex, and lacks a definite answer on how to handle it best. However, the study specifies some important steps and indicators for change management processes in municipal organisations and especially in small municipalities and organisations. The study has also shown the importance of change management, especially when it comes to the implementation of new technology, such as digital archives.

    The study examines the challenges in the implementation process of digital archives and how they can be avoided, what the municipal employees’ attitudes are towards digitalisation as well as how the archive’s operational maturity can affect digitalisation and public administration. The study shows that the attitudes towards digitalisation and new technology are positive, and that most employees consider themselves to have proficient competence in IT. Moreover, the survey shows a lack of prominent differences between different ages when it comes to technology and digitalisation. The survey highlights a lack of knowledge, information and communication, which need to be improved, for example through introduction and education. Digital archives contribute to fund-amental needs such as coherent operations, sustainability, effectivisation, openness, improved archival operations, and a clear vision.

    Change management is essentially the key to success, not solely for for-profit companies, but it is just as important for municipal operations and state-run institutions, as it facilitates economic profits without steering the process in any direction. Without access to a model like for example Kotter’s eight step model, it is easy to miss the most important aspects.

    Throughout history companies have come to realize the importance of work revolving quality in order to remain competitive on the market. Process development is a natural part of quality management. There exists several different philosophies and tools to make use of in this work, examples are Lean Production and Six Sigma. The state of research of the programs are well studied, but the combination of Lean and Six Sigma's work methodology DMAIC has many unknowns. The objective with this study has been to integrate Lean with DMAIC. The study's purpose has been to investigate whether DMAIC is consistent with theories about Lean. The question this study tried to answer is how Lean-DMAIC can be used to minimize inconsistencies in flow of information in a global production company. The purpose of this paper has mainly been answered with the aid of the literature study. The question at issue has mainly been answered by the case study. The objective has been answered with a combination of the case- and literature study. The work procedure is based on DMAIC´s methodology, while Lean provided the tools for success in combination with the philosophy´s train of thought that permeate the work. The results of the study illuminated that Lean-DMAIC works in a simultaneous fashion in order to find inconsistencies in existing flows of information; with these results the study's question has been answered. By the end of the study it was possible to ascertain that a better question for this particular study would have been how Six Sigma is consistent with Lean, as DMAIC is a method, thus they cannot be directly compared. In this study, DMAIC provided the step-for-step method for how to model the work and in what manner the process was examined. Lean on the other hand provided the right tools and the train of thought in order to succeed. This culminated in that several improvement measures could be produced based on the study's results.

    A simulation and machine learning approach to critical infrastructure resilience appraisal: Case study on payment disruptions2018Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
    Abstract [en]

    This study uses a simulation to gather data regarding a payment disruption. The simulation is part of a project called CCRAAAFFFTING, which examines what happens to a society when a payment disruption occurs. The purpose of this study is to develop a measure for resilience in the simulation and use machine learning to analyse the attributes in the simulation to see how they affect the resilience in the society. The resilience is defined as “the ability to bounce back to a previous state”, and the resilience measure is developed according to this definition. Two resilience measurements are defined, one which relates the simulated value to the best-case and worst-case scenarios, and the other which takes the pace of change in values into consideration. These two measurements are then combined to one measure of the total resilience. The three machine learning algorithms compared are Neural Network, Support Vector Machine and Random Forest, and the performance measure of these are the error rate. The results show that Random Forest performs significantly better than the other two algorithms, and that the most important attributes in the simulation are those concerning the customers’ ability to make purchases in the simulation. The developed resilience measure proves to respond logically to how the situation unfolded, and some suggestions to further improve the measurement is provided for future research.

    This article highlights the importance of preservation of spatial information, i.e. information clearly connected to a geographic position, regardless of whether it is a matter of GIS or CAD/BIM information. The author consider through his review and compilation of texts, interviews and workshops that we have existing tools for appraisal/selection, metadata and preservation formats that with minor additions are fully useful for creating a reliable digital continuum. The future work consists of – appraisal/selection and preservation – of spatial information and is extensive, and therefore the author believes the work should be initiated with immediate effect.

    Within Gällö skog there is an increasing need for meetings in the forest at a distance. This is because many landowners do not live at or close to their forest property. The aim of this work was therefore to find a 3D conference solution for Gällö skog. The work has been carried out using the design process and Pugh's relative decision matrix. First, a requirement specification was made for both hardware and software selection. Then the Facebook Spaces, Rumii and AltSpaceVR software were investigated against this. When none of the aforementioned software was sufficiently satisfactory for this work, it was decided to develop a software. The developed software is based on a website and was developed by modifying an existing project from github.com. Through the modification made in the project, all requirements in the specification could ultimately be achieved. However, with some restrictions. The software works best in the Mozilla Firefox browser, and is not compatible with the iPhone. The user friendliness of Gällö skog also has development potential. The hardware in this work was chosen by comparing the VR glasses HTC Vive and Oculus Rift against each other and the developed requirement specification. As a result, HTC Vive was bought for the project. This because it fulfilled most of the work requirements, and that it had other features that enabled the headset to be used in future work. Finally, The conclusion of this work was that until this technology has come further, this solution may be insufficient. The idea is good, the solution is good, but the technology needs to come further for fully satisfactory results. When the VR technololgy have advanced further, a solution like this could be something that could be useful to companies. This because the inertaction of a 3D conference is improved compared to today's video chat.

    Denna uppsats skall fungera som en avstämning över hur långt vi kommit i utvecklingen av digitalt långtidsbevarande och hur vi på bästa sätt idag kan hantera denna typ av bevarande genom att beakta några viktiga delar. Detta är fortfarande ett problem i arkivvärlden eftersom det finns flera frågetäcken runt detta område. Eftersom teknikvärlden är skör och de databärare vi använder idag inte håller lika länge som vi vill kunna bevara information behöver vi förnya den i omgångar. Denna hanteringsprocess kan gå till på flera olika sätt och de kräver noga uttänkta metoder för att inte riskera att skada informationen. För att ett objekt skall kunna bevaras under en lång period finns det områden som lämpligen kan följa vissa riktlinjer. De delar som bland annat påverkar bevarandet är vilken metadata och övrig information som kopplas till objektet, vilken teknik man använder sig utav, hur olika värderingar kan underlätta i processen, hur styrningen i organisationen kan fungera och hur man styr hanteringen samt säkerheten som behöver råda kring objekten och organisationen. Denna uppsats innehåller den inledande processen i digitalt långtidsbevarande för att den fullständiga processen inte skulle visa ett resultat förrän om ca.50 år då vi kan se en produkt av denna typ av bevarande. Denna undersökning bygger till största del en litteraturstudie och för att komplettera ytterligare valde jag att göra intervjuer/enkäter med passande organisationer för att se hur det fungerar för dem. För att få ett bättre sammanhang i textens genomgång utgår den från OAIS modellen och därför refererar de olika delarna tillbaka till den genom texten. Detta skall göra att läsaren lättare ser en röd tråd på hur delarna samspelar med varandra. Uppsatsen avslutas med ett hanteringsförslag där jag dragit slutsatser från de olika delarna som utgör uppsatsens innehåll och en jämförelse mellan myndigheterna.

    Executing an accurate full-reference metric such as VQM can take minutes in an average computer for just one user. Therefore, it can be unfeasible to analyze all the videos received by users in an IPTV network for example consisting of 10.000 users using a single computer running the VQM metric. One solution can be to use a lightweight no-reference metrics in addition to the full-reference metric mentioned. Lightweight no-reference metrics can be used for discarding potential situations to evaluate because they are accurate enough for that task, and then the full-reference metric VQM can be used when more accuracy is needed. The work in this paper is focused on determining the maximum number of situations/users that can be analyzed simultaneously using the VQM metric in a computer with good performance. The full-reference metric is applied on the transmitter using a method specified in the recommendation ITU BT.1789. The best performance achieved was 112.8 seconds per process.

    To only follow agile methodologies for agile software development isn't enough to lead to success in agile projects. The dimensions time, cost and scope in the project management triangle are fundamental requirements to succeed in a project. Within projects there exists many other critical success factors and attributes that affect the result of the project. Those are called critical success factors and combined with a project management triangle they are used in this study as a tool for project improvement in research to find potential improvements for agile project in organizations. This research was carried out as a single case study on a company located in the IT branch. The purpose of the study is to with use of the critical success factors mapping done by Chow and Cao [1] combined with the project management triangle dimensions, research which or what degree of critical factors that were existing in the company’s project management culture. The result was used as a tool to create an improvement plan which purpose was to be applied on existing flaws. The study was performed using qualitative research and data were collected through interviews with the employees. This research shows that potential improvements can easily be found by research projects for critical success factors and the project management triangle dimensions. Combined factors, attributes and dimensions make a complete concept for successful projects. After analyzing and processing the data, a summarize of data were created which showed what factors, attributes and dimensions that were existing and on what degree in the company’s project management culture. This study shows that potential improvements can easily be found by research projects for critical success factors and the project management triangle dimensions. For all missing and low degree attributes an improvement plan was created on purpose to be applied on existing flaws in order to create a higher success factor on future agile projects.

    Digitalization is not a new topic and was first used in the 17th century.  But with the development of information technology the opinions have changed. It is necessary for the organizations to digitize themselves to be competitive. One purpose with digitizing the business area has been to make the process more efficient. Many organizations are digitized, but many of their system development processes are still analog. The aim with this report is therefore to contribute with knowledge for digitalization of system development processes. The goal with this report is that the result will be able for IT-organizations who want to digitize system development processes. Previous research and theories like digitalization, processes, quality and change management are used as a base for this study. The report is using a qualitative approach; data was collected through Mid Sweden University´s library catalog and from Google Scholar. Thereafter was data also collected through interviews with the case company and with external governments. The case study consists of a process mapping on the case company´s system development process. The result describes the difference between system development processes and business what improvement opportunities a system development process has and important factors that governments need to work with in digitalization project are also described. The analyze of the result showed that is important that the laws supports information exchange and cooperation and automated test, continuous delivery and more flexibly work methods are important to being able to digitize system development process. The conclusion was that the preparation and efficiency of the process is the easiest, meanwhile the challenge is to lead the change to the right way. Two important aspects that can help many organizations forward are to work with change management and investigate the method DevOps. For further research it would be possible to perform this study on other governments to investigate which factors they think is important in a digitalization project.

    With the advent of big data era, there is countless data produced from various kinds of machines every second. These data are used to help people to do studies, produce goods, improve the efficiency of the industrial development, and so on. Especially considering the Internet of things which connects all the smart machines together, the importance of data integrity gets unprecedented attention from us. In order to keep the data integrity, blockchain comes to its birth using its own structure to guarantee the data integrity efficiently. This project is focus on the simulation of data system based on the blockchain in the background of industrial internet of things which is shown in a form of a website with coding language jade and the environment is Node.Js. The main task is to measure the time consumed in the process of block mining under different parameters include data length, nonce, difficulty, sensor number in order to find the correlation between block mining time and different parameters. Thus, the rule about the impact of different parameter on the mining time are concluded. According to the rule I found, the evaluation about scalability, efficiency and safety of this system are given and I also summarize two formulas to calculate the efficiency of block mining. Ethical consideration and future work are addressed in the conclusion part.

    Försäkringskassan IT har uttryckt ett behov av att effektivisera det vardagliga arbetet med hjälp av ett utvecklat rapporteringssystem som avhandlar information som idag sker manuellt. De efterfrågar ett rapporteringssystem som i tillägg innehåller en filsökningsfunktion som övervakar om det finns kvarglömda filer i systemet efter att en utbetalning har gjorts. För att förbättra tillförlitligheten för socialförsäkringen hos Försäkringskassan och Pensionsmyndigheten kommer därför ett automatiserat rapportverktyg med fokus på användbarhet att skapas i Python. Användbarhet visar sig i samspelet mellan användaren och den utvecklade programvaran och det finns speciella riktlinjer att följa för att uppnå god användbarhet när ett system utvecklas. ISO/IEC 9126-4 är en standard för att mäta kvaliteten hos ett system utifrån användarnas perspektiv genom att de tilldelas olika uppdrag att utföra i utvecklade verktyget. Python kan med hjälp av medföljande moduler utföra systemkommandon för att sedan utföra en filsökning. Användarnas effektivitet ska utifrån uppdragen mätas och sedan presenteras i ett diagram tillsammans med resultatet av deras tillfredsställelse. Resultatet visar att vi med hjälp av Python kunde skapa fungerande rapportverktyg med ett script som också initierar Linux-kommandon över fjärranslutning och sedan genererar ett e-post med information om kvarvarande filer i systemet. Detta samtidigt som resultatet av mätningarna visade att användarna är tillfredsställda med det utvecklade verktyget och även mer effektiva jämfört med den tidigare manuella versionen.

    Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging domain that promises ubiquitous connection to the Internet, turning common objects into connected devices. The IoT paradigm is changing the way people interact with things around them. It paves the way to creating pervasively connected infrastructures to support innovative services and promises better flexibility and efficiency. Such advantages are attractive not only for consumer applications, but also for the industrial domain. Over the last few years, we have been witnessing the IoT paradigm making its way into the industry marketplace with purposely designed solutions. In this paper, we clarify the concepts of IoT, Industrial IoT, and Industry 4.0. We highlight the opportunities brought in by this paradigm shift as well as the challenges for its realization. In particular, we focus on the challenges associated with the need of energy efficiency, real-time performance, coexistence, interoperability, and security and privacy. We also provide a systematic overview of the state-of-the-art research efforts and potential research directions to solve Industrial IoT challenges.

    Syftet med följande projekt är att undersöka och analysera hur behovet av ett supportverktyg hos den digitala byrån Etendo ser ut. Utifrån analysen ska supportverktyget implementeras. Målet med undersökningen har varit att ta reda på vad ett supportverktyg bör innehålla och hur det kan byggas, hur det kan uppnå en hög användbarhet samt hur man kan samla alla inkomna supportärenden på ett och samma ställe. Genom datainsamlingar i form av intervjuer med två av Etendos projektledare och en webbaserad enkät som skickats ut till tre av Etendos större kunder, har en kravspecifikation skapats som senare utvecklats till flödesscheman och webbskisser. Skisserna har därefter lett till implementeringen av ett användbart supportverktyg som integrerats med ärendehanteringssystemet Zendesk. Rapporten tar upp den arbetsprocess som ligger till grund för projektet och beskriver projektets alla delar, från teori och metod till resultat och analys.

    Passwords are an important part of information security and works as a primary authentication method to protect user accounts. The purpose of this study is to investigate how an organisation’s employees follow the password policy and investigate if the password management is executed in an acceptable fashion from a security perspective and according to ISO standards. The method consisted of a survey, interviews of which the results has been compared to ISO standards guidelines and the organisation’s password policy, a risk analysis and a development of a tool to memorize passwords. The result showed insufficiency in the password management of the employees. Thru the analysis several actions have been found to constitute, restore and improve the password management and also preventing actions to keep the password management that is already sufficient. The conclusions are that there is a need for improvement of the password management and from these needs proposals for actions have been extracted.

Tekniken för att ta fram och visa informationen är utvecklad, men webbgränssnittet som användare möter är inte så intuitivt som det borde vara, och risken är att den tänkta användaren har svårigheter att använda webbgränssnittet för att hitta den information hen behöver. Rapporten skall genom användbarhetstester undersöka webbgränssnittets användbarhet och föreslå förbättringar. Förbättringar kommer att fokusera på webbgränssnittet och presenteras i form av mockups. Rapporten kommer också gå in på webbgränssnittets användarvänlighet och om språket i systemet är väl anpassat till användaren..

    Syftet med detta arbete är att skapa riktlinjer, processer och underlag för ViskanSystem ABs arbete med användbarhet i utvecklingen av företagets nya CMS, samt att vara med i utvecklingen som en del av utvecklingsteamet. Resultatet är tänkt att gynna Viskan i företagets framtidiga arbete. För att uppnå syftet har projektet inkluderat informationssökning, självständigt utforskande arbete i programkod och utbildningar som hållts av Viskan. Viskan är ett modernt teknikföretag med många egenutvecklade lösningar. Detta har resulterat i att informationsinhämtning och upplärning av färdigheter inom teknik och verktyg har haft en central plats i projektet, vilket också speglas i denna rapport. Upplärningsuppgifter som getts och komponenter som skapats dokumenteras i rapporten med beskrivningar och programkod.     Abstract [en]

    The area of business models for the Internet of Things and how to approach modelling them is relatively unexplored. Therefore this study researches how others have previously approached the area through a literature analysis. The articles showed several different ways of describing business models for IoT, some of these where based around old and well known tools such as Business model canvas. While other approaches where based on creating entirely new models based on modern technology. One of these models is based around blockchain technology, the last main approach is to innovate the tool used to describe business models in order to be able to manage the change in actors. After analysing the different approaches by comparing them to either their standard model or seeing what the key part of the model was, it became obvious that business models for IoT have certain areas that need to be taken into account. These areas are not commonly seen in previous tools used to describe business models. One of these areas is increased collaboration as a consequence of increased number of participants in the creation of an IoT service or product. The other area is increased focus on IT knowledge, partners and therefore also increased cost. This is a consequence of the increased amount of technology needed. These areas in particular the increased collaboration strongly affects the business model and therefore is one of the main reasons for the business model innovation in the IoT market.

    Abstract [en]

    On May 25, 2018, the Directive, 95/46/EC, is superseded by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), (EU) 2016/679. Companies and organizations will have to revise routines, restructure organizations' processes and rebuild IT systems. The purpose of this study is to identify the critical success factors for implementing GDPR in the Swedish banking and finance sector. The study carried out a literature study as a foundation for the qualitative interviews with which empirical was gathered. Subjects for interviews was data protection officers (DPO) at four banks, as well as the Swedish Data Protection Authority and Forum för dataskydd, a national forum for DPO:s. The study's results showed a number of significant success factors for implementation processes. Based on these success factors, three were identified as critical to the implementation of GDPR from a computer science perspective: data governance, privacy-by-design, and documentation.
