Abstract [en]

The aim of this thesis is to examine perceived value and satisfaction of international students in Mid Sweden University. The focus groups were conducted as a suitable method to find out perceived value and satisfaction of Mid Sweden University, as a university and Sundsvall as a destination. The findings estimate the five vital aspects, such as economical, educational, environmental, entertaining and emotional, that influence on the satisfactions of international students. The data of the study reveal aspects that have a fundamental significance to the process of decision making and satisfaction (educational process), and features that were ignored by the respondents (image of the destination). Data analysis discloses the important advantages and disadvantages of the Mid Sweden University and the destination Sundsvall. After analyzing the data researcher made some recommendations and suggestions at end. These data can be used to design the marketing strategy by highlighting benefits and some possible improving of disadvantages.
