2011 (Swedish)In: Arctic Review on Law and Politics, ISSN 1891-6252, E-ISSN 2387-4562, Vol. 2, no 1, p. 77-101Article in journal (Refereed) Published
Abstract [en]

This article discusses the status of Sámi customs and the traditions in Swedish law. With Swedish reindeer herding legislation as a point of departure, three court cases involving customary law, where appeal is made to customs, and traditions 'from time immorial' are discussed. Comparisons are made with the ways in which Supreme Court of Norway treats Sámi culture and traditions.
