Abstract [en]

Since its release in 2007, Android has become the fastest growing operatingsystem for mobile phones. Every day, over a thousand new applications (Apps)will be published on the Android Market. The Android is very easy to learn andGoogle has provided a great useful libraries that developers are able to use. Inthis thesis project, a very different health-care application for patients was madethat could detect their steps, calculates calories consumed, arrange daily training,and also provides voice reminders in order to improve the patient's physicalactivity. This was to enable people, especially psychiatric patients, to feel love,care and respect, and, hopefully, to assist them to recover more rapidly. After asignificant amount of testing, the accuracy of the pedometer feature of thissoftware proved to be successful in more than 95% of case.
