Abstract [en]

The objective of the study is to identify and characterize changes in the recruitment processes of the Chilean political elite during 50 years by using data on the different types of political apprenticeship. Although, the study is descriptive, it nonetheless uses results from previous studies on the composition of West European, Third World, and US legislatures for comparative purposes.
