Abstract [en]

The perspective of - doing gender - implies that gender is done in everyday interactions between individuals. The purpose of this study is to point to some problems women more than men experience in undergraduate educations on ICT, and how these could be studied with a theoretical perspective of gender as something that women and men actively do in everyday interactions. This is a literature study when it comes to data; my contribution is that Ive applied the theoretical perspective of doing gender, to the problems female students in undergraduate educations on ICT experience. The method can be divided into three steps; first, I analyse a number of studies made with a doing gender perspective, secondly, I examine what problems female student experience in undergraduate educations on ICT, and finally I apply the thinking of the doing gender perspective to those problems. The result is a re-definition of the problems into the thinking of the doing gender perspective, and my conclusion is that the problems studied with a doing gender perspective are not different than problems studied with other perspectives, but that the problems are viewed differently, and that somewhat different questions are asked around the problems.
