Abstract [en]

The use of cooperation and alliances between local actors has for a long time been discussed as strategies to meet up with this increasing competition. One example where this focus has gained acceptance is among tourist destinations. Recognized in many tourist destinations is the problem of finding well functioning organisation models for such collaborative effort. The purpose of the paper is to discusses if social capital function as bonding or bridging competitors in a local horizontal hotel network, located in a rural tourist destination, when a well function network is exposed to major changes
