This study is made to find the correlation between democracy, human development and renewable energy. A quantitative statistical study. The analysis is made with two hypotheses: hypothesis 1: Higher levels of democracy leads to higher procedural part of renewable energy in a country's total energy supply and hypothesis 2: Higher levels of human development leads to a higher procedural part of renewable energy in a country's total energy supply. The Results show that the democracy variabel does not show a significant result in the larger model. While the HDI variabel shows very significant results. But in the opposite way that means that countries with lower amounts of human development have larger amounts of renewable energy.
