The Effects of Self-Leadership : -A Systematic Literature Review on Motivation and Learning (English)
Abstract [en]

This thesis explores the role of self-leadership within organizational development, with a particular focus on its impact on employee motivation and learning during change processes. Through a systematic literature review, it analyzes how self-leadership strategies, such as behavior-focused strategies and cognitive processes, contribute to employee motivation and development. The study demonstrates that effective self-leadership strategies can enhance individual performance and organizational adaptability  by boosting psychological capital and supporting a continuous learning process. The research reviewed also highlights the importance of organizational conditions that support self-leadership, such as an autonomy-supportive climate, to maximize its positive effects. The results from the study emphasize the importance of integrating self-leadership into change management to promote a proactive and learning organizational culture.
