Abstract [sv]

Under de senaste åren har en rad olika kriser och krissituationer uppstått i samhället. Allt detta gör att ledare kan ställas inför nya situationer i sitt ledarskap. Syftet med studien är att få en inblick i kvalitets- och ledarskapsarbete kopplat till krishantering. Kapitlet för den teoretiska referensramen innehåller olika teoretiska delar, såsom TQM, hörnstensmodellen, ständiga förbättringar samt PDSA-cykeln. Andra områden i teorin är ledarskap, engagerat ledarskap, ledarskapsutveckling och ledarskapsstilar. Sista området som beskrivs i teorin är kris, krishantering, krisberedskap och ledarskap i kris. Studien utgick från en abduktiv ansats. Datainsamlingen har skett genom nio stycken kvalitativa intervjuer. I studien framkom att organisationen som studerats arbetar proaktivt med riskarbete och krishantering, där de under senaste åren växlat upp detta arbete på grund av omvärldsbilden. Det finns tydliga verktyg och metoder för att hantera kriser. De arbetar aktivt med kontinuitetsplaner och krisgruppen sammankallas till krisförövningar. Inom området för krishantering finns förbättringspotential för ökad uppföljning och ett utökat prioriteringsarbete. Utöver den designerade krisgruppen har IT-avdelningen ett etablerat arbete för krishantering. För framtiden så finns ett behov av att förbereda sin personal ytterligare för olika typer av oväntade händelser.

Abstract [en]

During the last past years, the world has seen a series of crises and crisis-related-situations arise. With the introduction of new crises, leaders may have to face new challenges in their leadership. The purpose of this study is to obtain insight in the work of quality and leadership related to management of crisis. The chapter of theoretical frame of reference contain various theoretical content such as; TQM, corner stone model, continuous improvement and the PDSA-cycle. Other areas that may be found in the chapter for theory are; leadership, engaged leadership, development of leadership and leadership types. The last part of chapter for theory contain; crisis, crisis management, crisis preparedness and leadership in crisis. The study was based on a abductive approach. The collection of data was conducted through nine qualitative interviews. The studied organization works proactively with crisis related situations and crisis management, where they stepped up even further during the last few years due to the uncertainties and threatening events going on around the world. The organization has established tools and methods to deal with crises. They work actively with continuity plans and crisis groups are summoned for practices in crisis. In the area of crisis management there is room for improvement in regards with increased follow-ups and an extended work of priorities. The only department with an established way-of-working for crisis management, except for the designated group of crisis management, is the IT. For future organizational work, there is a need of preparing their employees for different types of unexpected events.
