Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The project reports describe a qualitative design work of a floating pump system intended for use in sump pits at hydroelectric power plants where there is inflow of water and oil. The design of the system is based on a target specification developed after semi-structured interviews with on-site personnel. The design work is conducted using a morphological matrix, sketched solutions, and then detailed in Solidworks. The project aims to facilitate the work for the personnel, improve environmental efforts, and reduce the owner's costs. The work results in a design proposal for a highly modular system that pumps surface water to an oil separator. Manufacturing and testing of the system are beyond the scope of the project and therefore remain pending.
