Studiens intention är att med hjälp av beräkningsmodeller informera om potentiella förbättringsprocesser över prognos av operational cash flow hos ett företag. Företaget i fråga är ABB, ett multinationellt företag som är verksamma inom teknologi och automation. De har varit verksamma i över 140 år samt har över 105 000 anställda världen över. Den benämnda sektionen, operational cash flow, inom ekonomin är hos ABB baserad på olika delar som till sist summeras till operational cash flow. Målet med avhandlingen syftar till att upplysa om alternativ till förbättring för prognostiseringar av cash flow, där ARIMA-modellen testas som lämplig kandidat. Det slutgiltiga resultatet medförde ett tillägg till det nuvarande sättet att beräkna prognoser. Med utfallet från resultatet kan man med hjälp av metoden synliggöra prognosernas förväntade utfall på ett nytt sätt som komplementerar den tidigare använda metoden. I slutet av arbetet analyseras arbetet utifrån det resultat som framkommit. Slutligen sammanstrålas resultatet och övriga delar i texten i en slutsats.

The investigation is intended to analyze the potential benefits of implementing alternatives for the forecasting method of operational cash flow at a given company. The bespoken company in focus is ABB, which is a multinational firm operating in automation and technology. They have been active in the industry for over 140 years with more than 105 000 employees worldwide. The specific section, operational cash flow, in the economic part is at ABB based on different parts which at the end sums up to operational cash flow. The purpose of the study directs to exposing varied alternatives to improve the forecast of cash flow, where the ARIMA model is tested as a suitable candidate. The final result led to an addition to the current method of calculating forecasts. With the outcome of the results, the method can be used to visualize the expected outcomes of forecasts in a new way that complements the previously used method. At the end of the work, the study is analyzed based on the results obtained. Finally, the results and other parts of the text are brought together in a conclusion
