Tendo em vista a heterogeneidade e complexidade de patrimônios culturais e seus contextos, a descrição espacial e temporal é de suma importância para melhor descrever, identificar e interpretar acervos culturais. Sendo assim, a representação de atributos de espaço e tempo de patrimônios culturais permite um enriquecimento semântico da descrição dos objetos culturais e seus contextos. O modelo CRMgeo (Spatiotemporal Model) oferece uma extensão para descrição da dimensão espacial e temporal dos patrimônios culturais, isto é, o modelo faz associação entre domínios, neste caso entre o domínio do patrimônio cultural e o domínio geoespacial. Para tal, o CRMgeo conecta o CIDOC CRM ao GeoSPARQL para representação de informações espaciais e temporais. Diante do exposto, levanta-se o seguinte questionamento: que papel o modelo de descrição espacial e temporal (CRMgeo) desempenha na descrição de acervos heterogêneos e complexos de patrimônios culturais em ambientes digitais? Sendo assim, este artigo objetiva tecer uma discussão sobre as potencialidades e desafios da adoção do modelo CRMgeo na representação dos contextos espaciais e temporais de patrimônios culturais em museus mediante a contextualização teórica e análise da documentação do CRMgeo. A pesquisa é classificada como qualitativa e exploratória. Neste contexto, foi efetuado um levantamento bibliográfico, revisão de literatura e análise da documentação técnica fornecida pelo CIDOC-ICOM. Portanto, o emprego do modelo CRMgeo em museus possibilita o enriquecimento e ampliação dos conjuntos de dados de patrimônios culturais, o que leva a contextualização de objetos culturais e precisão de espaços no decorrer do tempo. Este artigo contribui para área da Ciência da Informação, especificamente para o estudo de Museologia e Patrimônio, ao abordar a questão do enriquecimento da dimensão espacial e temporal na descrição de acervos culturais em ambientes digitais preservando assim a memória de acontecimentos históricos ao possibilitar a contação de narrativas históricas.

In view of the heterogeneity and complexity of cultural heritage and its contexts, the spatial and temporal description is of paramount importance to better describe, identify, and interpret cultural collections. Thus, the representation of space and time attributes of cultural heritage allows a semantic enrichment of the description of cultural objects and their contexts. The CRMgeo model (Spatiotemporal Model) offers an extension to describe the spatial and temporal dimension of cultural heritage, that is, the model makes an association between domains, in this case between the domain of cultural heritage and the geospatial domain. To this end, CRMgeo connects CIDOC CRM to GeoSPARQL to represent spatial and temporal information. Given the above, the following question arises: what role does the model of spatial and temporal description (CRMgeo) play in the description of heterogeneous and complex collections of cultural heritage in digital environments? In this regard, this article aims to discuss the potentialities and challenges of adopting the CRMgeo model in the representation of spatial and temporal contexts of cultural heritage in museums through the theoretical contextualization and analysis of CRMgeo documentation. The research is classified as qualitative and exploratory. In this context, a bibliographic survey, literature review and analysis of the technical documentation provided by CIDOC-ICOM were carried out. Therefore, the use of the CRMgeo model in museums enables the enrichment and expansion of cultural heritage datasets, which leads to the contextualization of cultural objects and precision of spaces over time. This article contributes to the area of Information Science, specifically to the study of Museology and Heritage, by addressing the issue of enriching the spatial and temporal dimension in the description of cultural collections in digital environments, thus preserving the memory of historical events by enabling the storytelling of historical narratives.
