How school leaders lead for digitalization to advance the use of technologies in school has been in focus for some time. In post-pandemic times, school leaders' professional digital competence (PDC) is important to capture new possibilities in educational change through the use of digital technologies. In this chapter, the PEAT-model is used to explore PDC based on the model's four key dimensions: pedagogical, ethical, attitudinal, and technical dimension. School leaders' important role in leading for digitalization is complex and demands systematic, individualized, and context-based PDC. How school leaders are supported in their work to find time to promote and advance innovative and sustainable teaching and learning environments for teachers and students will be of importance. This chapter contributes with knowledge on how school leaders' PDC is advanced in relation to pedagogical, ethical, attitudinal, and technical dimensions that will have impact on pressing educational issues, such as digital competence and digital equity for students.
