Abstract [en]

The purpose of this assignment was to create a tool (a web application) for SEB Kort employees to simplify and automate the administration of terms and conditions documents. Today, a lot of the editing and administration of the documents are handled manually, which demands a lot of time and effort, while also increasing the risk for human errors. A solution that will automate this process may lead to a decreased cost and enable the employees to focus on the content of the documents rather than the administration of said documents. To create this tool, the React framework was used (frontend), together with Node.js and Express (backend). The document database MongoDB was the choice for handling the data needed for the tool. All the code was written in JavaScript or JavaScript XML. The project had an agile approach and weekly feedback sessions was conducted. Suggestions and improvements from these sessions was continuously implemented during the project. The project resulted in a web application which can be used for evaluation and further development of the tool.

Målet med detta arbete har varit att skapa ett verktyg i form av en webbapplikation för SEB Korts personal, som förenklar och automatiserar administrationen av produktvillkor. I dagsläget sker mycket av redigeringen och hanteringen av produktvillkor manuellt, vilket är tidskrävande och ger en ökad risk för felkällor. En lösning som automatiserar dokumenthanteringen kan leda till minskade kostnader samt att personalen kan fokusera på innehållet i dokumenten snarare än administration av dessa. För att skapa detta verktyg användes ramverket React (frontend) tillsammans med Node.js och Express (backend) och dokumentdatabasen MongoDB. All kod har skrivits i JavaScript eller JavaScript XML. Projektet drevs agilt genom kontinuerlig feedback veckovis och implementation av de förslag som uppkom under utvecklingsprocessen. Resultatet blev en färdig webbapplikation som kan användas som grund för utvärdering och vidareutveckling av verktyget.
