This essay examines Cormac McCarthy’s novel The Road in order to discover how the post-apocalyptic setting affects the two main characters’ decision making in situations that can be described as moral dilemmas. Further, the essay also examines how the novel can be used in the upper-secondary classroom in order to call attention to questions of morality
