Through the lens of the Ecology of Resources Model, this paper focuseson how school leaders understand the activity of leading digitalizationin school. The study is based on a survey and interviews conducted withschool leaders. The results show that school leaders lead for digitalizationthrough many different activities. It can be concluded that the role ofthe school leader is important for supporting teachers’ work with digitalization for teaching and learning, and in turn supporting students’learning with digital technologies. How school leaders lead the digitalization process will most likely have an impact on school development.
