Abstract [sv]

Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka hur ledare använder reflektion i sitt ledarskapoch att identifiera framgångsfaktorer som utvecklar deras ledarskap, samt få förståelseför hur de reflekterar över kvalitetsperspektivet.Studien har avgränsats till ledare som ingår i en ledningsgrupp på ett företag. Fokus harvarit deras ledarskap, inte organisationen som de företräder. Totalt intervjuades tiochefer, de flesta hade lång chefserfarenhet i större organisationer.Teorikapitlet innehåller den teoretiska kontext som studien har baserats på. Detinnefattar offensiv kvalitetsutveckling, hörnstensmodellen och ledarskap samtreflektion. Författarna fick ett omfattande material som bearbetades på hermeneutiskgrund med en induktiv ansats. Datamaterialet kondenserades och författarna bearbetadematerialet stegvis. Teman identifierades utifrån syfte och frågeställningar.I studien framkom att reflektion utvecklar ledarskapet. Dock upplever flera ledare att dehar för lite tid för ledarskapet. Kommunikation lyftes som en grundbult i ledarskapet,för att visa riktningen och i förståelsen för medarbetaren.En framgångsfaktor var att ha en tydlig inriktning för ledarskapet. Ledarna såg tydlighetoch lyhördhet som framgångsfaktorer för att utvecklas i sitt ledarskap, samt feedbackbåde från ledares chef och medarbetare. Även stöd i form av nätverk stärkte ledarskapet.Viktiga perspektiv i ledarskapet var att leda utifrån kundfokus ochmedarbetarperspektivet, de sågs som framgångsfaktorer i ledarskapet och bidrog tillkvalitet. Ledarna menade även att processer ger struktur och riktning, samt ett stöd iledarskapet.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of the study has been to investigate how leaders use reflection in theirleadership and to identify success factors that develop their leadership, as well as gainan understanding of how they reflect on the quality perspective.The study has been delimited to leaders who are part of a management team at acompany. The focus has been their leadership, not the organization they represent. Atotal of 10 managers were interviewed, most of them having long senior experience inlarger organizations.The theory chapter contains the theoretical context on which the study was based. Itincludes, Total Quality Management, cornerstone model and leadership as well asreflection. The authors received extensive material that was processed on ahermeneutical basis with an inductive approach. The data was condensed and theauthors processed the material gradually. Themes were identified based on purpose andquestions.The study found that reflection develops leadership. However, several leadersexperience that they have too little time for leadership. Communication is lifted as afoundation bolt in leadership, to show the direction and understanding of the employee.A success factor was to have a clear focus on leadership. Leaders saw clarity andresponsiveness as success factors to evolve in their leadership, as well as feedback fromboth leaders and employees. Support in the form of networks also strengthenedleadership.Important perspectives in leadership were to lead to customer focus and employeeperspective. They were raised as success factors in leadership and contributed to quality.The leaders also believed that processes give structure and direction, as well as supportin leadership.
