Abstract [sv]

The purpose of this study was to find out what six professional educators’ have for perceptions aboutthe work of music in preschool, we have done this through qualitative interviews. The interviews wereconducted with six teachers, all of whom work in different preschools. The findings of this studyindicate that the teachers own attitude toward having music in preschool is positive and that they findtheir own attitude important for children’s learning. To have music in preschool, according to theeducators, brings about language development. It creates joy and a sense of belonging in the group ofchildren. Education and knowledge in the field of music is of great importance for teachers’ self-esteemand awareness when it comes to using music in preschool.
