The purpose of this study is to examine young people’s knowledge and information about HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted infections and sexuality in Nkinga award, Tabora Region, Tanzania. The research methods for this case study are both qualitative and quantitative. First focus group discussions were performed and based on the discussions a survey was conducted. An intersectional perspective has been used to understand whether the young people have got the information and knowledge they need and what their sexual experience and behavior is in light of HIV/AIDS and STIs. The study finds that awareness is high, knowledge about prevention methods is good, but there are risky sexual behavior and especially non-voluntary sexual activities.
