Klättermusen är ett svenskt varumärke baserat i Åre som säljer kläder och ryggsäckar inom kategorin friluftsliv. Klättermusen har sedan länge följt sitt motto

Maximum safety for you Minimum impact on nature och försöker använda sig av återvunna, biobaserade och ekologiska material i största möjliga mån. Att produkterna ska hålla länge och för hård användning är också något Klättermusen strävar efter. Med sitt motto och profil i en tid där hållbarhet har blivit en av vår tids största frågor så ligger ett reparationskit helt rätt i tiden.

Målet med examensarbetet är att ta fram ett underlag på ett reparationskitt med innehåll som sedan överlämnas åt Klättermusen i slutet av projektet. Med hjälp av produkten så ska kunden ha möjlighet att laga sina plagg och på så vis ge plagget ett längre liv. Kittet kan också ses som en säkerhetsprodukt om en plötslig skada uppstår ute i fält långt ifrån civilisationen. Produktens syfte passar bra ihop med Klättermusens motto. Examensarbetet är uppdelat i olika milstolpar som innehåller produktutvecklingsmetoder. Som exempel hålls det bland annat intervjuer med personal på Klättermusen och till hjälp tas det bland annat hjälp av produktutvecklingsmetoder från produktutvecklingsföretaget IDEO. När tillräcklig information är inhämtad så skissas idéer upp. Det köps även in tänkt innehåll till kittet och det ska också tilläggas att kontakt med leverantörer till exempel lagningslappar upprättas, något som sedan Klättermusen förses med. Arbetet omfattar även ett test i ett textilaboratorium där olika lagningslappars vidhäftningsförmåga testas.

Innan produkten kan realiseras krävs mer arbete kring själva bagen och mer dialog med leverantörerna.

To create durable product that withstand harsh conditions is also something Klättermusen strives for with their products. With their motto and in a time where sustainability has become one of the biggest questions in our time the repair kit is just right in time.

The aim with the thesis is to create a suggestion on a repair kit with contents that hands over to Klättermusen in the end of the project. With the product the customer will have the ability to repair their clothes and give them al onger life. The kit can also be seen as a

safety product if a sudden damage occur into the wild far away from the civilization. The product follow Klättermusen’s motto and profile. The thesis is separated in different parts that contains different methods for product development. For example the methods includes interviews with personnel at Klättermusen and methods from the product development company IDEO. After sufficient information is obtained to the product it gets sketched up. The project also includes purchase of contents and it should also be added that contact with possible suppliers gets established, for example with companies that can provide repair patches. The project also includes a lab test where adhesion of different repair patches gets tested.

Before the product can be realized, more work is required especially on the bag itself, it also requires more dialogue with some of the possible suppliers.
