Abstract [en]

A low-energy sensor device coupling to an energy harvesting system will achieve a self-sustained and long-term autonomous sensor. The energy harvesting system using the electromagnetic induction through the rotation of the turntable. The system use BMG250, BLE SoC (nRF52832) and Android App to make up a wireless angular speed measurement system, it will measure the rotational speed of the energy collection section. After that, send these data to the terminal through wireless technology.

This study aims to design a low-energy gyroscope sensor node to measure the rotating speed and send these data to a smartphone by using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Specifically, this study focuses on minimizing the power consumption of the wireless commutation of Bluetooth low energy (BLE) in a connection mode and an advertising mode respectively. A comparison of a connection mode and an advertising model is made, which shows that using connection mode is suit for the design of a low-energy sensor node.
